Welcome! This site is focused on the fatiguing disorders and illnesses. About 6 years ago, after seeing a small army of doctors, I recieved a diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue and Immune Deficiency Syndrome. I was told I needed to learn to live with it but continued to seek my own answers. As it turns out, I actually had contracted Lyme on top of a toxic Mold exposure. Instead of living with the nearly full incapiciation that my illness had wrough, I began treatment and I am getting much better. Fibromyalgia, CFIDS, Chronic Lyme, Post Viral Disorder, GWI, etc, all share very similar symptoms and possibly even a similar underlying etiology. In fact, these illnesses/disorders have so many symptoms in common that it is very difficult to distinguish them.  I am sure that many persons who have been diagnosed with CFIDS may indeed have a Mold exposure, Lyme or another infectious agent, all of which eventually suppresses the immune system and set’s the stage for chronic inflamation and loss of immunologic control.   For many of us, starting to heal involved many different steps and this site will attempt to share some of what has worked for me, and for those I know.  New information is added often, so feel free to check back along your healing journey.

This site is organized with several different categories like to imprortant pages up in the top horizontal menu.  Additionally, there are many different more specific categories on the left sidebar. If there is more than one post in that category, you can go to the next one, by clicking the ‘next’ link at the bottom of the current article. The information contained within these assorted posts come from various sources, some of which are peer-reviewed medical publications. Other posts are ancedotal evidence which is presented as such. Up on the top of the page is a tab which is linked to BioWiki. BioWiki is an encylopedia for the fatiguing illnesses, which was just added to this site. You can either read, edit or add new articles. We urge you to add your knowledge and experience to the BioWiki Database. Patients with these illnesses and disorders are often very informed are helping to lead the way. We are helping to drive solutions so please share your knowledge. 

I am also in the process of posting my own personal experience of what worked for me and helped me heal. In Part I, I discuss the gradual onset of seemingly unrelated symptoms and my decline into disability.  In Part II, I review the long list of symptoms in more detail and discuss some tests that helped me along the way in my investigative process and also discuss the treatment and clinical findings from Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker and the FibroandFatigue Center. In Part III, , I will cover my breaktrhough back to health with Joe Jemsek, MD and share what treatments, protocols and supplements that I feel have helped me the most.
